CHARLOTTE, NC – On Saturday, October 22nd, Spencer Boyd and the Farbo Motorsports team headed to Caraway Speedway in Asheboro, North Carolina to try their hand at the notorious half-mile oval. As the racing season winds down, Legends racers across the region are seeking out and congregating heavily at the tracks with remaining race dates, and the competition continues to intensify as we near the end of 2011. As expected, Caraway was no exception.
Triumphing over the best of the best, Spencer drove his #18 Wilkerson Automation Chevy to a 2nd-place overall finish and a win in the Semi-Pro division.
“This was my first time here and we came out and got the win,” said Spencer. “I have to thank Ryan Farbo and all the guys at Farbo Motorsports for all their hard work at the shop and at the track. Also, I have to thank Wilkerson Automation, Motivated Eyewear and Metrolina Greenhouses for supporting myself and this team on our path to success.”
As the victories pile up, Spencer Boyd and Farbo Motorsports look towards 2012 with high expectations of a complete racing schedule filled with numerous positive advancements as they further cement their status as a force to be reckoned with.
